Cattle Grazing

How It's Raised

Our cattle are entirely grass-fed meaning that at no point in their lives will they be fed grain. They are on pasture all summer long and as late into winter as possible. This varies based on the crop rotation that year, pasture we have available, rain we got, etc. After our standing forage is grazed off we feed hay that was made during the summer.

Our land is entirely certified organic and this is the land that they graze and their food is harvested from.

We almost always have ground beef in stock. But quantities of other cuts may vary, so order early to ensure availability. Call or email today to order or set up a time to pick up your beef!

Prices and Bulk Incentive

If you choose to order a portion of an animal or several full animals, we can offer a discount depending on the weight of your animal.

When buying quarters or halves:
$3.50/lb hanging carcass weight + processing costs

When buying 1 or more animals:
$3.25/lb hanging carcass weight + processing costs

We also offer a variety pack of our different cuts. The variety pack will include:

  • 15 lbs of ground beef
  • 15 lbs of additional steaks and roasts

Cost is $8.00/lb

Cost Example

1100 lb. cow = 650 HCW (Hanging Carcass Weight)

600 lbs. * $3.25/lb = $1950

Approximate processing cost for whole animal (varies by order) = $400

Total cost to you for 1 animal = $2350

Generally around 65% of HCW is edible beef.

600 lbs HCW * 65% = 390 lbs edible beef

$2350 / 390 lbs = $6.03/lb of edible beef

Keep in mind costs vary based on the animal and based on your cutting instructions.
